Our Hero
Working schmuck by day, hero by night. Andre “A.J.” Danis is a graduate of Ottawa’s high-technology rat race. In fact, he managed to work at more than five companies without ever leaving the same street. During his Legget Drive tenure, he held roles in product, marketing and business development at Mitel, Newbridge, Elcombe (which he helped to found), Trillium and Nokia.
Andre has always found time to share his business, finance and marketing expertise with small companies. Through his non-profit venture, “After Hours,” he helped small businesses out of some tough spots – such as re-engineering the production operations of a family-owned dental devices company.
Most recently, the tech downturn and his life-long love of all things wood converged to
encourage Andre to pursue his passions. He joined his cousin and best friend, Frank Murray, at
Maison Paragon Homes, where he uses his background in architecture to design homes for customers purchasing fine manufactured homes, cottages, and construction project management services.
And, with a little help from his adoring Maria (“Lois Lane”) Ford, he founded
Hero For Hire.
Hero For Hire provides small businesses with big-business advice – without the big-business costs.
